Adding to compostWe can all play a part in reducing the environmental impact of food waste. A first step is to reduce our personal food waste; find tips to help with that here.

But when you do have unused or spoiled food, composting is a great way to recycle those items.

If you live in Kirksville, you can bring your food scraps to us for composting! Simply collect your compostables (which can include any food products/scraps/trimmings as well as paper towels or napkins) in a container (such as an ice cream bucket, for example), then dump the compostables into one of our food scrap bins around campus. You can find bin locations on the interactive map, below.
